The island of Nevis is located 200 miles southeast of Puerto Rico and is part of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The island of Nevis is generally underdeveloped with thousands of acres of pristine hillsides. The positive characteristics of the island made it the choice of world-class Four Seasons hotel to establish its first Caribbean presence in the region. Commercial investors are offered a variety of incentives. Certain companies that provide for the employment of local labor may receive tax holidays under the Fiscal Incentives Act. These holidays may extend to 15 years, with rebates for another 5 years.
